FACULTY

Since its inception of TAKSHAA the school's educational strategy was to have a faculty of highly qualified faculty of working professionals.  For the most part this is still a new Idea in higher education in India.  This way we can ensure that students get the latest in production techniques and learn about real day to day problems and solutions.

One benefit was the strength of relationship that could form between student and teacher. Often these creative, collaborative, and mentoring relationships extend beyond the classroom and into professional life. Another was freedom for the school to manage a faculty that could be constantly refreshed and unencumbered by pedagogical orthodoxy. The faculty in turn enjoyed the freedom to teach what they believed in passionately, and to try new approaches and engage with unconventional ideas.

This philosophy is the one of the most important aspect of the College's personality. Department directors are employed in the college because of their achievements in professional practice. The nearly 30 strong faculty is comprised of Animators, artists, painters, designers, historians, Playwrights, Actors, filmmakers, photographers, writers, puppeteers, Academicians, professors, philosophers, software engineers, and representatives from numerous other industries. Our Faculty is part of the some of the most exciting developments in the country.

Most importantly, the Faculty at Takshaa  are artists and designers who have journeyed on the same path which students are about to tread. The Fauclty at Takshaa is proud to be extremely quality conscious, demanding, different and determined to ensure the artistic success of every single student. They  care about how you see the world because they recognize that as an artist your greatest strength is in your individuality. Students find  that our faculty the collective genius and creative diversity that have made TAKSHAA what it is.

Personal attention

Students work closely with all their faculty members through the contact time afforded per week and also through assisted sessions. Every student is guided through the program by his or her mentor, the Course Director who also ensures that the students artistic skills are enhanced to the best apart from functioning as the academic advisor

Visiting Artists

Takshaa ensures that quality is emphasised on and students are exposed to a variety of opinions and art forms , at every juncture of study and accordingly invites a wide variety of leading artists from all over the country and internationally apart from inviting artists from other disciplines like puppetry, film making, theatre, art, animators who not only form the Jury at Takshaa but also lecture and discuss their work with students.
